The National Book Council would like to inform the general public that it has just published the Maltese translation of the sixth edition of the ISBN Users’ Manual entitled ‘Manwal għall-Utenti tal-ISBN’. This manual is an important tool which explains the way in which the ISBN of every publication, be it for a print or electronic publication, is created. It also contains important information about the historical background; the benefits and function of ISBN, its structure, allocation, the place where it is printed as well as information about other identifying factors and a list of FAQs.
A copy of this digital publication may be accessed directly from the International ISBN Agency website: https://www.isbn-nternational.org/contents/isbn-users-manual. You may also download your own copy from this link: Manwal ghall-Utenti tal-ISBN (Malti)
With this publication, Malta joined other countries from around the world associated with the International ISBN Agency which had already translated this important manual into their official language.
