Xi Qrajt Dan l-Aħħar? is a 5-minute TV programme in which people involved in the local book industry are asked to speak with the presenter of the show, Antonella Axisa, about their latest read. This is the first TV initiative by the National Book Council and it has met with considerable success among the viewing public, ever since its first episode which was aired on 1st November 2015 and featured author Walid Nahban. Since then, the show has featured many local writers, poets, academics and publishers and it even featured a foreign author, Caroline Smailes, who was a special guest of the Book Festival on Campus 2017 (4th – 6th April).
All the episodes were filmed in the reading hall of the National Library in Valletta. The show, which aired its last episode on Tuesday 8th August with Dr. Bernard Micallef, was aired every Tuesday at prime time, just before the 8 pm news bullettin on national TV.
