Introduce your students to the magical and adventurous worlds from the pen of Malta’s best children’s authors and ensure a memorable experience with our performances curated especially for schools!

A professional team of actors led by the charismatic Antonella Axisa will be producing a spectacular theatre performance adapted from the 2020 Terramaxka Prize winning works, streamed straight to your classroom. The name of the show is an added surprise this year… the prize-winning books will only be announced the day before!

After the show, students are invited to follow an interview to meet the author and lead actors.

The schools programme at the Malta Book Festival provides an opportunity for students to develop the skills to appreciate stories, encourage reading, and boost their confidence around Maltese books. We hope that the Festival is an incentive for schools to create in-class discussion groups about books, conduct sessions on the online book-browsing experience, and guide students to choose the best books published for them locally.

The show based on Terramaxka Prize winning works for children aged 8-12 premieres on Thursday 12 November at 9:30am. An English-language performance by the best-selling author of super mind skills Eran Katz premieres on Friday 13 November at 9:30am.
