An exhibition of sketchbooks by various illustrators who, through their drawings and visual experiments, converse with the work of contemporary Maltese poets. This exhibition is the result of the first collaboration between Kotba Calleja and the Malta Community of Illustrators (MCOI).

For this project, the illustrators were invited to work exclusively on paper—not digitally—using hand-crafted books. Furthermore, besides being given a selection of poems to work on, each illustrator was instructed to use the sketchbooks solely to present ideas, thoughts, and visual experiments. Thus, this exhibition is also a collection of innovative and fresh reflections that nourish both the art of illustration and contemporary Maltese poetry.
