Often, when we write, we are in a room by ourselves, but the words we use are never ours alone. In the first year of Aphroconfuso, we wanted to create, together with our contributors, a community in which words are not spoken once and then lost to time, but find an echo and a response in other words inside the journal itself, in our own literary history and that of the world.
