Buy the book Merlin Publishers Short stories 2026 Lon Kirkop Lon Kirkop is a multidisciplinary artist and author. His latest publication, Is-Sajf mhux għat-tfal (Merlin Publishers), is an anthology of eleven contemporary short stories exploring themes of identity, sexuality, childhood, and the nostalgia that summer evokes. In 2023, Lon received the Best Emerging Author Award at the National Book Prize. In the same year, he also won the Drama category for Fil-Ħajja li Jmiss u Drammi Oħra tat-Triq(Merlin Publishers). Lon's debut novel, Mitt Elf Isem Ieħor: HappyVeganGirlJules (Merlin Publishers), won the 2020 Novels for Youth Literary Contest, organised by the National Book Council and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ. In 2025, he won the same literary competition again with his novel Clone.
