Born in 1977, Christine Ciappara spent most of her childhood in Marsascala, before moving to Żurrieq. She graduated as a social worker in 2000. After more than a decade working in this field, both in Malta and beyond, she ventured into a new direction. Today she works for a public agency that manages European Union funding programmes supporting education, training, youth, and sport. The idea of writing an interactive children’s book stemmed from a wish to merge two of her hobbies: reading and solving puzzles and brain teasers of all kinds. Dawra mad-Dinja is Christine's first book.
