David Fabri LL.D, Ph.D. (Melit) graduated in law in 1989, and has mostly worked in company law, financial services regulation and consumer protection, the subjects of his recently published completed trilogy of Studies in Maltese Regulation (MidSea Books).  Since 1994, he has lectured with the Faculty of Law at the University of Malta, and still co-ordinates the Masters in Financial Services programme which he helped launch in 1995.  He has authored various papers and articles, and he publishes a regular monthly opinion piece on law and governance in the Sunday Times of Malta. He has been involved in the drafting of various important legislation, including the Consumer Affairs Act 1994, various financial laws and the Companies Act 1995. Currently, he chairs the Malta Law Academy, the academic arm of the Chamber of Advocates, and serves on the Administrative Review Tribunal and the MFA Board of Appeal.
