Inizjamed’s Open Mic returns for the Campus Book Festival, this time in a virtual setting – don’t forget to register to share with us all kinds of poetry, stories, songs or stand-up.

The  Campus Book Festival is once again collaborating with Inizjamed to share their enthusiasm towards literature by offering a platform for anybody wishing to share literary excerpts they are passionate about. One can read a poem, a story, do any sort of stand up, sing an original song or express anything deemed shareable with an audience. Interventions are welcome in any dialect or language.

Our esteemed guest for this edition is American poet and memoirist Mark Doty, winner of the T.S. Eliot Prize and the U.S. National Book Award. Doty, often compared to James Merrill, Walt Whitman and C.P. Cavafy, will read excerpts from his poetry and memoir writing.

Joining him is local writer Teodor Reljic. Born in Belgrade (1985) but raised in Malta (1992-present), Teodor Reljic is a writer of fiction and freelance feature and copywriter. His debut novel, Two, is published by Merlin Publishers. He has previously been published in Weird Fiction Review, Le Monde N’Est Pas Rond and Filmkrant. He read English and obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Malta in 2010.
