As the council expands its scope and sets higher targets for the coming years, its role in policy-making regarding issues of national importance such as copyright law and censorship (Bill 113) is becoming more and more evident. We have gone a long way in our efforts to become a major active player in the local book market and our target of giving Maltese literature the international readership it deserves is starting to bear fruit in the form of translation deals and rights negotiations, from which a number of authors have already benefited. Interested members of the public are welcome to download the report from this page in digital format.
