Home / News / Applications for the Literary Contest of Novels for Youth – 2015 Back to News Applications for the Literary Contest of Novels for Youth – 2015 Literary Contests • News • Novels for Youth Contest 16th March, 2015 The “Konkors ta’ Kitba – Letteratura għaż-Żgħażagħ” is an annual contest organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and the National Book Council. The purpose of this contest is to select, reward and publish Maltese novels that are written specifically for young people; novels that explore contemporary youth hood, with all that this phase of life entails. Hence, the organisors’ aim is to enrich this particular genre within the Maltese literature, thus increasing young people’s interest and motivation to read Maltese books. Moreover, the organizers hope that the awarded works will be of the highest literary level.
