Access this year’s MBF general feature from this youtube link. The National Book Council would like to thank all our local and international guests: Loranne Vella, Dave Rudden, Jon Courtenay Grimwood and Kali Wallace, as well as this year’s special guest Hon. Judge Rosemarie Aquilina. Our gratitude also goes to the Festival’s stakeholders without whom this Festival wouldn’t be possible. The morning performances based on two of last year’s Terramaxka winning books (Mamà, Allura Din imħabba? by Moira Scicluna Zahra and Mark Scicluna and Jarmuk by Stephen Lughermo) where extremely successful with children and adults alike. A special thanks goes to Antonella Axisa and her troupe of actors Marilù Vella, Jamie Cardona, Brandon Terribile, Mikhail Basmadjian for the two wonderful adaptations of books on stage. Thanks to Katrina Xuereb for the costumes, Neil Zerafa for ASM, Giovann Attard from he Drama Unit and Teatru Malta for providing rehearsing space to the actors. So while we wrap this all up, work has already started for next year’s Malta Book Festival. The Council will continue to ensure the best experience revolving around books and reading is delivered to the public on the islands. Looking forward to seeing you next year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”9974,9961,9973,9972,9971,9970,9969,9968,9962,9963,9964,9965,9966,9967,9960,9959,9958,9957,9956,9955,9954,9947,9948,9949,9950,9951,9952,9953,9946,9945,9944,9943,9942,9941,9940,9933,9934,9935,9936,9937,9938,9939,9932,9931,9930,9929,9928,9927,9926,9922,9925″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row] [add_posts category=malta-book-festival show=100] SHARE POST Related Articles John Edward DeMicoli from Malta wins 2026 regional Commonwealth Short Story Prize for Canada and Europe News 13th May, 2026 Read More The 2026 Doreen Micallef National Poetry Contest is Now Open for Entries News 12th May, 2026 Read More Average Maltese person buys three books a year, survey finds News 12th May, 2026 Read More Open Call for illustration submissions for the exhibition From Illustration to Book at the Malta Book Festival 2026 News 11th May, 2026 Read More National Book Council Publishes its Annual Report for 2025 News 17th April, 2026 Read More Commonwealth Short Story Prize welcomes the first ever Maltese author onto its regional shortlist News 15th April, 2026 Read More Exhibitors and Event Organisers – Apply Now To Participate At The 2026 Malta Book Festival!
