The 2026 Doreen Micallef National Poetry Contest Awards Ceremony – National Book Council 🇲🇹

Join us for the announcement of the winners and readings by the winning poets of the eighth edition of the Doreen Micallef National Poetry Contest, launched by the National Book Council with the aim of further raising the profile of poetry in Malta and honouring the best poetry written in Maltese.

As the closing event of the Festival, the ceremony will feature a live music set by Stjanu, accompanied by Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur, who will be adapting Maltese poetry into their music.
