‘The Book of Valletta’: Stories from a City of Contrasts – Comma Press & NBC 🇬🇧

The National Book Council, in collaboration with Comma Press, invites you to the launch of The Book of Valletta — a collection of ten stories inspired by Malta’s capital city. In this panel discussion moderated by editor Leanne Ellul, contributors Irene Mangion, Claudia Gauci, and MJ Camilleri will share insights into the stories, the translation process, and what it means to write Valletta into fiction.

Valletta is a city of contrasts, and The Book of Valletta mirrors that same eclecticism, gathering ten distinct voices whose stories move across genres and styles to explore the city from the inside out. Contributing authors include Ryan Falzon, Clare Azzopardi, Ħaley Xuereb, Claudia Gauci, Jean Paul Borg, Paul P. Borg, Keith Borg, Daniel Vella, Matthew Schembri, and MJ Camilleri, with translations by Joe Gatt, Irene Mangion, Kat Storace, Albert Gatt, and Jake Buttigieg. The anthology is edited by Kat Storace and Leanne Ellul.
