Rowena Grech is an author and laboratory analyst, with both a scientific and literary background that combines the precision of science with the art of words. She holds a degree in Applied Science (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) and works as a Laboratory Analyst, where observation and attention to detail form an integral part of her professional identity.

She is the author of Miti Maltin, Monstri u Kreaturi (2024), a book that explores contemporary themes through the lens of Maltese mythology, set within modern and social contexts. In 2022, she also published Il-Ktieb tas-Sħaħar, a collection of tales woven around topical themes such as partisan politics, environmental degradation and social tensions, breathing new life into these classic stories. Her stories “Lilek Ħabbejt” and “100” were published in Leħen il-Malti, the flagship journal of the Għaqda tal-Malti.

Rowena holds a Diploma in Maltese Literature and has trained in proofreading. She has also successfully completed other courses at the University of Malta, including Herbology, Medical Equipment, Chemistry in the Kitchen and Creative Writing for Children.

Rowena is not only an author but also experiments with other forms of art as a means of self-expression.
