This manual is an important tool which explains the way in which the ISBN of every publication, be it for a print or electronic publication, is created. It also contains important information about the historical background; the benefits and function of ISBN, its structure, allocation, the place where it is printed as well as information about other identifying factors and a list of FAQs.
