The event is a one-day conference entitled Books and Literacy: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and, as the title implies, it will focus on the traditional relationship between books and literacy within the context of the evolution of publishing. In particular, it will explore the expanding boundaries of the definition of literacy in the cybernatic era: digital, media, visual and technological literacies. Aimed at publishers, librarians, educators, academics and anyone who is enchanted by books and knowledge, the conference will explore the issue of whether we are doing our best to support the young generation along this multifaceted literacy world today. There will be contributions to the discussion by both Maltese and foreign speakers. TIME: SATURDAY 12 November 2016, 9:00 – 18:00 LANGUAGE: English VENUE: Temi Zammit Hall, MCC, Valletta For further info: michelle.grima-duca@gov.mt Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1139434279436117/1145126225533589/?notif_t=like¬if_id=1472455769017628 PLEASE REGISTER HERE: https://goo.gl/forms/qmbAdgIpgGcSMS9f1 SHARE POST Related Articles Call for Short Stories About Valletta for Comma Press’ Reading the City Series News 28th April, 2025 Read More Have Your Say: The National Book Council 2025-2030 Strategy Up for Public Consultation News 28th April, 2025 Read More Exhibitors — apply now to participate at the 2025 Malta Book Festival!
