Home / News / Emerging Artists – Malta Arts Festival 2013 Back to News Emerging Artists – Malta Arts Festival 2013 Initiatives • News 16th July, 2014 The ‘emerging artists’ series of the Malta Arts Festival of 2013 presented an interdisciplinary showcase of music and literature. The collaboration took the shape of two concerts: one concert of classical music by young percussionist Luke Baldacchino and another by Nadine Galea on violin and Riyad Nicolas on piano – both accompanied by Maltese poetry readings in collaboration with the National Book Council. Poems by young poets Francesco Grech, Beverly Agius, Matthew Schembri, Yana Psaila, Jonathan Balzan and Celine Agius were recited by actors Joseph Galea and Antonella Galea Loffreda on two separate nights in the beautiful setting of the inner courtyard of the Auberge de Castille, Valletta.
