Literary agent Simon Trewin offers practical networking tips during a free Zoom session News 12th September, 2025 The National Book Council is once again inviting all interested members of the Maltese publishing community to participate in an exclusive Zoom call with international literary agent Simon Trewin. Taking place on 19 September at 16:00, ‘The Networking Toolkit’ is a third edition of an ongoing series – leading up to a live event at the Malta Book Festival in November – during which Trewin will help participants up their game when it comes to the vexed matter of networking at literary events. Those interested should register here by no later than 18 September. Whether you’re an author, publisher, or any other literary stakeholder, Trewin will take you on a whistle-stop trip around the international publishing scene — with his usual mix of humour, insight and anecdote — and reveal ten practical ideas you can use to connect and make a difference for your business. From the buzz of the London Book Fair to the scale of Frankfurt, from the colour of Bologna to the opportunities waiting online, this is your chance to see how Malta can plug into the global conversation. No passports required — just bring an open mind and an open notebook.A veteran of the UK publishing industry, Simon Trewin’s roster of authors have been translated in 60 different languages, and feature among their number the likes of John Boyne and Booker winner Paul Lynch. Owing to his long-standing collaboration with the National Book Council, Trewin is also a literary ambassador for Malta. Participation to this online event is free, but registration is required through this form. Participants wishing to put any questions to Trewin are kindly asked to input their question in the relevant field of the form. Simon Trewin will also be delivering an in-person session at the Malta Book Festival on 8 November entitled ‘Perfect Your Pitch for the Rights Catalogue’, for which you can register for free here SHARE POST Related Articles Bringing children’s literature to dynamic life on stage at the Malta Book Festival Festivals 10th September, 2025 Read More The National Book Council welcomes new board members News 10th September, 2025 Read More POSITION OF MANAGER WITH THE NATIONAL BOOK COUNCIL: JOBSPLUS PERMIT NUMBER 881/2025 News 9th September, 2025 Read More Booker Prize winner Samantha Harvey heads to Malta Book Festival News 2nd September, 2025 Read More The Commonwealth Short Story Prize 2026 Opens for Submissions in Maltese and English News 1st September, 2025 Read More Shortlist For The 2025 National Book Prize Announced News 26th August, 2025 Read More What Makes a Great Short Story?
