This was one of several events to be organized during ‘Book Week’; an initiative organized by the same school thanks to Ms. Jane Grima’s (assistant head) initiative. Many attended and every parent/carer was given poetry and proze books in Maltese to take home and read out to their children together with a small booklet of FAQs about the subject. Mr. Charles Calleja (the NBC’s representative and main speaker for the day) and Ms. Cheryl Falzon (Head of Public Libraries) answered questions raised by the audience. The School Headmistress, Ms. Fiott, was also present and assured that the books donated to the school on that day will be distributed between Year 1, 2 and 3 as well as Kinder class libraries.
