The Campus Book Festival brings together several local exhibitors – varying from established publishers to bookshops and NGOs – for three days of events and book browsing opportunities. The cultural programme’s main target are students, but also events are open to the general public. This year’s edition will be celebrating Maltese literature, and in particular some of the winners of the 2022 National Book prize. The Festival’s programme will be testament to this through interviews and literary exchanges. Furthermore, the Festival will also open discussions certain hot topics such as the uses of ChatGPT and its repercussions in academia and publishing. The public will be invited to participate in a number of activities such as workshops in creative writing and illustration, book clubs and literature readings, including the annual Palk Ħieles Campus event organised by Inizjamed. The characteristic collaborative element of the Campus Book Festival allows for an exchange of ideas between students, teachers and professionals within the publishing industry.
