The authors Leanne Ellul and Walid Nabhan spoke of their literary journey and encouraged the students to read more and cultivate a lifelong passion for books. The NBC also collaborated with Malta Libraries, Malta Libraries Council and several other entities in organising a varied programme of activities in several libraries across Malta and Gozo on the occasion of Libraries Day. This year’s chosen theme is ‘Harnessing I.T. to Enhance the Library Experience’ and in fact, at the Central Public Library in Floriana, the Malta Libraries portal and eBooks service will be officially launched on the day. The National Book Council is currently working tirelessly on several initiatives and contests, but would like to take this opportunity to announce that this year’s Malta Book Festival will take place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta from the 9th to the 13th of November. This year’s Malta Book Festival will be accompanied by a bigger and better programme of events featuring several foreign guests. Publishers, bookshops and distributors who wish to exhibit at the Malta Book Festival are encouraged to visit our website www.ktieb.org.mt and download the 2016 application form. In the meantime, we cannot but encourage all to read, buy and borrow more and more books! SHARE POST Related Articles Make a mark abroad!
