Book Donation to CPL on ‘Library Day 2014’

The National Book Council has just donated €7,000 worth of books to the Central Public Library in Floriana during the activities of Library Day. The books, mostly Melitensia publications, will be divided between public libraries across Malta and Gozo very soon. Present for the donation were Ms. Cheryl Falzon representing the Central Public Library, Mr. Charles Calleja (Vice Chairman of the NBC) and Mr. Joe Debattista (Secretary of the NBC). The National Book Council has several similar donations targeting public libraries and school libraries lined up for 2015 and therefore we hope that the lending statistics increase to reflect this in the coming months.
