Home / News / Markapaġna E06 – Audrey Friggieri Back to News Markapaġna E06 – Audrey Friggieri Audiovisual • Markapaġna • News 18th October, 2022 Audrey Friggieri discusses Mario Azzopardi’s different forms of poetry from his anthology, Il-Fabbrikant tal-Marjunetti. Both share thoughts on how rereading Azzopardi’s work always offers something new, and how Azzopardi focuses on the condition of humanity, and how he searches for its meaning. Audrey Friggieri was brought up in Luqa, next to a beautiful valley that today has disappeared. She was also a student of its public primary school. She published her first children’s book in 2013, which made it to the National Book Prize’s shortlist. She graduated as a teacher, and she is close to finalise her doctorate research on Maltese youth and education. In 2022, she published, Karolina, Ferdi u s-saħħar il-ħażin together with Clarissa Sammut Scerri, and Ana u Zak isalvaw il-pjaneta, two illustrated books for children.
