The donation included novels, short-stories, poetry, drama, literary nonfiction, translations, research books, and books for children and young adults published in Malta in the last few years. Various National Book Prize and Terramaxka Prize winners and shortlisted titles made it with this list, and also other books published by various publishers. The donation was made by the NBC’s Executive Chairperson Mark Camilleri to the Deputy Librarian from Malta Libraries, Doreen Borg Zammit. The NBC donates books twice to Malta Libraries during the year – one marking the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day and National Library Day in April, and another one nearing end of year.
