Sciberras will be remembered for the poetry collections he published in his lifetime, especially his 1984 collection Mandala; selections from this collection have been studied by students throughout the years. His other publications include: Priżmi, co-written with Dun Lawrenz Cachia in 1968; Dawl fil-Persjani (1972); and his last collection Mirja, published in 2014, which collects his entire poetical oeuvre from 1963 till 2013. In the sixties, Sciberras was a member of the Moviment Qawmien Letterarju. Two years ago, the NBC interviewed Sciberras on his writing interests, both artistic and legal; the theme of existentialism; honesty as a prerequisite for writing radical poetry; the distribution of the monumental publication Alfabett tal-Kodiċi Ċivili; and the Russian and Italian influences on his writing among other topics. Listen to the interview here: The poet is pictured at the Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival, where he was invited to read his work a few years ago.
